Lamenting the fact that “common sense” seems to be the least common of knowledge, Geoff Pearson launched a unique business called ROCKUP. ROCKUP is a mobile adventure business armed with a wide range of exciting but structured programs & activities all designed and formatted by Geoff. Most of the activities are based on “Consequences for Actions Learning” therefore delivering real results and positive behavioural changes with raised self -esteem and often new life skills to all who participate.
ROCKUP activities are never just turn up & have a go as their instructors are trained to interact and actively offer support & encouragement to participants.
The ROCKUP systems work regardless of age, fitness or gender and so whether a Corporate Teambuilding session, Rugby Bootcamp, School Educational Program, Company Safety Day, Promotional or Community Event, ROCKUP consistently delivers exciting FUN with built in core messages that realizes and meets all clients objectives.
Bringing the Mountain to the NZ-ED Show
ROCKUP are bringing their design award winning rock wall to the NZ-ED SHOW and will be setting up for action in the ROCKUP CAFÉ.
Attendees have the opportunity to watch the instructors put a few school groups through the Consequences for Actions learning programme, take part in a rock wall experience and also attend a workshop presented by Geoff to further explore the theory of the Consequences for Actions Learning.
ROCK UP travel all around New Zealand and have worked with numerous schools, Councils, community groups and organisations such as NZ Fire Service and DARE. They run driver safety education programmes for teens using the rockwall – there are many parallels to driving and climbing – harnesses, distractions and consequences etc. One of their activities also looks at the effects of drugs and alcohol using “booze goggles” that mimic the effects of distorted vision and impaired coordination.
NZ-ED SHOW and ROCKUP are offering one lucky school the chance to bring a group of up to 30 students (or staff!) to experience the ROCKUP Consequences for Actions Learning program on the Rock wall free of charge. This will be on Friday 14th September at the NZ-ED SHOW TelstraClear Pacific Centre, Manukau, AUCKLAND at 10.30am. Schools need to provide transport to the venue. The winner of this prize also wins a 3 day pass to the NZ-ED show for themselves, allowing them to drop in at any time over the three days - after school or Saturday included. The winning school also receives a discount voucher if they book further adventures from Rock up.
