Eduvac becomes media sponsor for new education show
Eduvac has agreed to become the media sponsor of the ground breaking education show NZ-ED. Taking place 13-15 September at the Telstra Clear Events Centre, Manukau, Auckland, the NZ-ED SHOW is a new concept in Education Expos and an exciting showcase for New Zealand Education.
Most UK teachers know instantly what to expect from an educational expo, being familiar with their annual event. New Zealand teachers have yet to experience anything as exciting, relevant and educational as this.
Lea Campbell from Opus Learning recently attended the annual UK Education show in Birmingham ... “Teachers, administrators and exhibitors say this is the one event they must attend ... it is the forum for exchanging ideas and information within the education industry. NZ-ED SHOW is based on a similar successful format. NZ conferences and expos are subject, level or technology specific but knowing that one event bringing everyone together is considered the most valuable and relevant experience overseas, makes launching NZ-ED SHOW an exciting challenge.”
Dedicated to supporting educators from all levels of education – early childhood to tertiary this event offers outstanding value professional development opportunities, the chance to network and develop contacts across all levels of education and experience first hand the latest educational products and services.
Seminars are run by educators and professionals: sessions include subjects and speakers such as Dr Sarah Farquhar of Child Forum, Tracy Riley Associate Professor in gifted and talented education in the School of Curriculum and Pedagogy at Massey University, Young Enterprise Trust along with guest speakers Nigel Latta and Debbie Mayo Smith. Subjects on the seminar list so far cover, IT, technology, numeracy skills, dyslexia, literacy, special needs, fundraising, biology, Te Reo and other languages.
NZ-ED SHOW is a very cost effective option for professional development with daily entry fee of $30.00 giving educators all day access to FREE seminars/workshops and speakers.
NZ-ED SHOW is also a time and cost effective way to view products and services under one roof, allowing schools to gather advice, get experience, to compare and take advantage of show specials and offers. Making effective use of staff time and school money. As the show will not be open to the general public, it gives schools full access to specialist resources.
Attendees can also be reassured that the exhibitors at the NZ-ED SHOW are dedicated suppliers looking at the formation of their own trade association with support from British Educational Suppliers Association – BESA, whose 80 year old history ensures schools buy from reliable and reputable suppliers who aim for the highest standards. Most are former educationalists who are dedicated to doing things that are new and good for education. NZ-ED SHOW looks to developing this level of long-term professional relationship between trade and education in NZ.
The NZ-ED SHOW has also become a Gold Sponsor of Eduvac. We’ll keep you posted on developments.
Show times: Thursday 13th Sept 10 am–6pm/ Friday 14th Sept 10am–6pm/ Saturday 15th Sept 10 am–4pm
