Bike riders needed

Variety - The Children’s Charity is looking for deserving children to receive a bike as part of the 2011 Bikes for Kids tour, which will distribute 450 bikes around the country.

The tour will be travelling from South Auckland through Cambridge, Taupo,  Ruapehu District, South Taranaki, Porirua, Lower Hutt, Wairarapa, Hastings and Napier from November 13th to 18th, 2011.

Teachers, parents, caregivers and friends are now encouraged to nominate a child bewtween seven and nine to recieve a new bike ad helmet.

Do you know a child that is a role model to other children or someone who has consistently made a difference within their school and community environments and has shown an outstanding ability to assist those around them?

Or if you know a socio–economically disadvantaged child, or someone who has recently overcome adverse circumstances, nominate him or her by downloading an application form from www.variety.org.nz or call 09-520 4111. Nominations end on October 7th, 2011.
