Balloon day on despite holidays

The Asthma Foundation reminds teachers that many Balloon Day activities will be held in the second school term, as the Asthma Awareness Week will be during the school holidays - from April 26th to May 3rd, 2011.

Balloon Day will be on Friday, April 29th, 2011.
 
Fundraising manager of the foundation, Julie McMeeken, says even though Balloon Day fell within the holidays, there was no reason for schools to not get involved.

She says, schools could take part in the second week of the term, but later dates would be possible too.
 
The Asthma Foundation has produced a handy document jam-packed with fundraising ideas for schools.  Schools are free to get involved as much or as little as suits them.

The foundation’s Balloon Day colouring competition has also started.
