Trauma and grief resources available

Skylight, a Trauma and Grief Specialist Agency, provides trauma and grief resources and materials to Christchurch families and individuals, as well as businesses and employers, affected by the quake.

The city’s devastating earthquake has left many people needing trauma and grief counselling and Skylight will send support resources, i.e. handbooks, to organisations, employers and schools to support staff.

Some of the resources are specially designed to be used with children to overcome trauma and grief. All resources are distributed for free.

Skylight also has trained and qualified counsellors ready to provide free phone counselling support to those affected by the quake. The support is currently available at 0800 299 100 from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm; this may be increased to meet demand.
