Advances in Understanding Dyslexia and Other Learning Difficulties Seminar

LearnFast New Zealand is pleased to present a one day seminar in Auckland on Friday April 8th, 2011 to bring educational professionals up to date on the latest research on Dyslexia and other learning difficulties.
The seminar will be presented by Dr Martha Burns, one of North America’s leading experts in the application of neuroscience in the treatment of learning disorders, including Dyslexia, Auditory Processing Disorder, Autism and ADHD. She will discuss the latest information on how brain science research is being applied to develop students’ learning capacity and reading ability.
Dr Burns will also show how the results of this research are being applied in the classroom, via Fast ForWord, a literacy and language program. Fast ForWord is already being used in schools in New Zealand and has proven to help students improve their reading, be more attentive in class, achieve higher results in tests and increase self-esteem.
New Zealand Educators who have used the programs will share their experiences with this education innovation.
