Kiwi kid band search competition now open
Any Kiwi band with two or more members aged between five and 15-years-old can enter Nick Rocks! by simply submitting a demo track and a band bio form, available from http://nicknz.co.nz/ or in the June/July issue of Upstart Magazine.
Open to Kiwi kids aged up to 15-years-old, this year’s winning Nick Rocks! band will get to rock their hearts out in a professional studio as they record their best single.
Add to that an interview in Upstart Magazine and radio play on Classic Hits plus a professional music video produced by Nickelodeon.
The music video will air on Nickelodeon (SKY Channel 041) for all Nickheads to see nationwide.
Nickelodeon’s 2009 competition has the support of a host of successful Kiwi bands and musos. From Nesian Mystik to Annabelle Fay to Midnight Youth to J Williams to Clap Clap Riot – Nick Rocks! is regarded by all as a great starting point for aspiring Kiwi musos to join in the success of the NZ music industry.
A carefully selected panel of judges will decide the top three Kiwi kid bands, before the public decides the final Nick Rocks! winner.
Each finalist will have a mini music video made of their track which will air on Nickelodeon between Monday 24th August and Sunday 6th September.
On-line and SMS votes from Nick-heads all around NZ will be called for to pick the overall winner.
