Three independent schools teachers have been given top awards for exceptional professional performance.

The awards were presented at the recent Independent Schools of NZ annual conference held in Wellington.

The recipients each received $2000 plus complimentary airfares, accommodation and registration to the ISNZ Annual conference.

The 2009 awards were sponsored by Spacific Yearbooks Limited and Distinction and presented by the Vice Chancellor of Victoria University Wellington, Prof. Pat Walsh.

Mrs Gail Thomson, the independent adjudicator, said of the candidates this year: “The calibre of teaching was again of the highest level, most of the teachers were involved in activities across the school and on a national and, in some cases, on an international basis.”
