Fulbright call for applications

Fulbright NZ invite applications by leading NZ research scholars, lecturers, artists and professionals to take up Fulbright awards to the US in 2010 and 2011.

 

Fulbright NZ Senior Scholar Awards

These awards are for academics, artists or professionals to lecture and/or conduct research in the US for three to five months.

A small number of awards valued at up to US$32,500 (NZ$54,871) (plus travel expenses) are offered each year.

Applications for 2010 Fulbright NZ Senior Scholar Awards are welcomed in a range of fields.

This year’s Fulbright NZ Senior Scholars were Prof. Anne de Bruin from the University of Auckland, who conducted research into entrepreneurship at Babson College in Boston, and Dr Joanna Kidman from Victoria University of Wellington, who will join a multi-national study of indigenous student motivation at the University of New Hampshire.

Fulbright Visiting Scholar Awards in NZ Studies

These awards are for academics to conduct research and teach an undergraduate course in NZ Studies at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, for one or two semesters.

Two awards valued at up to US$32,500 (NZ$54,871) (plus travel expenses) are offered each year – one per semester.

We are currently recruiting for the Fall (August-December) 2010 and Spring (January-May) 2011 semesters.

Georgetown University’s Center for Australian and NZ Studies is pleased to make appointments from the full range of academic disciplines in the field of NZ studies, including history, sociology, education, geography, literature, business or trade, international relations, international economics, public policy and management, and government.
