The Penguins of Madagascar premieres in NZ
The eagerly awaited made for TV series of Penguins of Madagascar comes to NZ in May.
Recently setting new ratings and audience records when it premiered in the USA, Penguins of Madagascar averaged over 6.1 million total viewers – making it the most watched series premiere ever to screen on Nickelodeon!
Starring all your favourite characters from the films Madagascar, and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, the series features the four penguin brothers Skipper (the leader of the group), Kowalski (the smartest of the group), Private (the youngest of the group) and Rico (the craziest of the group). The irresistible siblings continue their epic journey and embark on new adventures from their home at Central Park Zoo.
While the brothers have their flippers full keeping their multi-species zoo neighbourhood happy, at times their secret missions beckon them to venture out onto the busy streets of New York City.
Just as the team thinks it has its urban acreage under control, a new neighbour moves in next door: Julien, King of the Lemurs, a party animal with an entourage and an overactive ego.
Much to the penguins’ exasperation, King Julien and his friends are there to stay, proving once again that opposites do not attract.
The Penguins of Madagascar premieres on Nickelodeon (SKY Channel 041) on Friday 22nd May at 4.30 p.m. with repeats on Sundays at11.00 a.m. and 5.30 p.m.
