A big thank you

The Asthma and Respiratory Foundation is thrilled with the buy in from educators for its upcoming Balloon Day awareness and fund-raising campaign.

“A big thank you to all the schools that have come on board. We’re really impressed with your support,” says Foundation Fund-raising manager Suzanne Silva.

Asthma Awareness Week is 4th to 10th May, 2009 and Balloon Day activities are scheduled throughout the week.

About 120 pre-schools, primaries and intermediates and secondary schools have signed up for the campaign.

The Foundation has been told of plans for school rooms being decorated with balloons, mufti days, asthma talks at school assemblies, coin trails and breathing education among other activities.

All the Balloon Day tee shirts have gone, but there are a few posters, balloons and collection buckets still available. E-mail: malcolm@asthmafoundation.org.nz
