Top Art tours the country!
Visual Art from NZ’s top secondary school art students will be featured in a touring exhibition visiting approximately 30 different venues throughout the country over the next five months.
Made up of two different collections, the Top Art exhibition began on Monday, 30th March, at the Govett Brewster Gallery in New Plymouth and also at Kings’ High School in Dunedin.
Each collection will move on to the next venue the following Friday.
The two collections bring together a selection of the top Visual Arts portfolios from students who gained Excellence in NCEA level 3 in 2008.
The touring exhibition provides an opportunity for secondary students and teachers to view the high standard of art produced in schools and provide an understanding of what is required to achieve Excellence in Visual Art at level 3.
Members of the public are encouraged to view the exhibition and see the quality of the art emerging from secondary schools.
