Cambridge conference

Over 120 delegates from schools offering the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) gathered at King’s College in Auckland on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th October, the final weekend of the holidays, for the Third Biennial Association of Cambridge Schools in NZ (ACSNZ) Conference.

The conference theme was “21st Century Learners in a Global Context” and offered international speakers as well as workshops and networking sessions for school principals, teachers and administrators.

Nigel Latta, psychologist, author and TV personality, the first keynote speaker, spoke on the topic “Emperors, learning and the idle young”, in which he gave pointers on how to engage with the new generation of learners.

Dr Kevin Stannard, director of International Curriculum Development at the University of Cambridge International Examinations spoke about global trends in education, covering curriculum developments and international qualifications.
