Victoria honoured with international accreditation

Prof. Pat Walsh.

Victoria University’s Masters of Business Administration (MBA) has been awarded international accreditation by the British-based Association of MBAs, or AMBA.

AMBA is an internationally recognised global standard for all MBA programmes and offers the only professional membership association for more than 9,000 MBA students and graduates, accredited business schools, and MBA employers.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pat Walsh says the accreditation places Victoria among the top tier of MBA programmes in the world.

“Although not a substitute to accreditation from the NZQA, the AMBA accreditation assures the quality of teaching, theory and practice offered in our MBA programme to a verified international standard.”

Dr Arun Elias, director of the MBA programme, says that students are very astute and will compare their choice of programmes and universities before embarking on a course of study.
“Through the process of becoming accredited I believe we now have a better programme for our students, and we will continue to strive to enhance it,” says Dr Elias.
